Poet and Prothonotary of the Court of Quebec, Fiset lived here for 30 years. He is known for his devotion to helping the government write petitions to the Royal Court to assure the Queen of the loyalty of her Canadian subjects and to call on her to put an end to the abuses and dissensions of which Canadians were victims.
