Guillemette Hébert is the second child of the Hébert-Rollet couple, the first settlers in New France. In 1621, she married Guillaume Couillard, direct ancestor of the owners of the Auberge Place d'Armes. Very generous, Mrs. Hébert sponsored and hosted several Aboriginal children.
